Is it possible to remove default from credit referneces?
I have become aware that I have defaults showing on Equifax and Experian (one of them shows up twice, making iot look as if there are actually 3 defaults - no wonder I couldn't open a bank account when I tried!!). The debts are mine, and I'm paying one off and in the process of negotiating re the other.
My question is, can I get the defaults removed? I received no paperwork or warning of them.

hi,
While you have a debt, the creditors have a right to mark your file accordingly. When you signed your agreements, you gave them permission to do so however, the erroneous entry should be removed.
Contact the CRA in writing telling them of the duff entry. They will investigate and remove as you can't be defaulted twice for the same debt.
