Thread: Halifax not responding to Access Request

I've sent the Halifax the SAR and waited 42 days, I got a letter confirming receipt and the details would be sent later. I sent a SAR failure letter on the 27th July and still no response, what do I do now. How do I start a claim in the county court? These people make me spit.. .

I've already given them 7 days or would start court proceedings, if I give them another 7, would that not contradict and weaken my first threat.

Hi. Stick to your timescale and take the next step, if you read my thread, carry on, it looks like their latest tactic, most probably testing to see if you give up or persue them, personally i've gone into bloodhound mode, good luck.

Cheers for the motivation, do you know where i get the court letters & stuff from. I don't know where to start

i was told the same thing. apparently they are doing it in date order but from what ive read on here thats not true which was obvious really. just keep at them. im received an offer but havent even had my statements through yet they are well over the 40 days

They are trying same thing with me, but i have opened another bank account with Natwest. So i feel as if they have to deal with me now if they want any money. I am now in control of my money. If they want to make me wait , i will do the same, I will continue to write , phone, and email till they respond.

They did the same to me so I telephoned the numbder on he letter confirming receipt and saying details would be sent under seperate cover. I got the statements the next morning, if you want the number let me know
