Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I was offered a job (not saying which profession) but the letter of offer stated that it was conditional upon saisfactory health check, CRB, references.
Now my CRB and references are fine and, at the time of my written acceptance, so was my health.
Since then (within the last few days) I have been diagnosed Diabetic - no idea of treatment yet. I don't start the job until September so really I am in limbo. Obviously I should tell them the situation when I meet them (this meeting is already arranged) but can they now turn round and say that my health check will be unsatisfactory becuase of the Diabetes?
I am at my wits end worrying - which isn't doing me any good. Any help gratefully received....
I wouldn't say anything just yet, as it will take a considerable amount of time and adjustment to get your blood sugar in a good range. Informing them now will do no-one any favours.
thanks for your replies! I don't know what 'type' yet the dr just said that i will have to have more blood tests and then see him at the end of next week.

You'll be type 2 in that case, as they would have you started on Insulin if you are Type 1.
Hope this helps, and by the way, I am sure this won't be a barrier to your job.
I am Type 1 myself, and as long as I take reasonable care in my treatment and well being, there is no problem.
joe I wasnt put on insulin straight away and I am type 1, they thought I was type 1.5 for a while as I was showing symptoms for both, it eventually turned into type 1 after a few days
