    Default New PPI Claim, how?

    Hi,
I have recently had a cold call from a claims company telling me I can claim thousands of £'s back from PPIicon's. I went through my loans over the last few years and they said I could claim back a minimum of £6k, this was without being sure if I had ever PPI with these loans. At the end of the convo he said "you could claim all this for £199 upfront fee"... hmmmm

Sounds nice but I dont have £199 at this moment in time! Is there a process to do this off my own back? I have the loan refernce numbers but I cant remember if I had any PPI's im sure i must have had one or two somewhere.

    Thanks guys

yes you can apply to claim back any PPIicon you think may have been miss sold and it will cost you nowhere near that amount!

As long as you have your account number contact the bank/company in question issue a SARicon, include your £10 and by law they will have to send you all of the information on the account. Then you can decide if you have a case.

Do not be taken in by these companies

    you can do everything yourself

    9-1-07 S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent:o !! Lloyds and Halifax!
20-1-07 S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent Capital One
20-1-07 S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent Halifax Card Services
20-1-07 S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent Marbles
20-1-07 S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent Halifax (Birchave0's sis)
8-3-07 PPI refund Lloyds TSB Loan £1200 + £2900 off loan balance
    22-5-07 Halifax *Won* £1025

    Hi,

You have to pay £10 for ALL the information the bank have. If that means they have to supply the details of 10, 20 or more accounts then so be it. Just include all account numbers

    ONE £10 fee per bank

Ok, that should break it down a bit, HSBCicon, M&S and Eggicon.
Sorry to be a pain bet is there a default SARicon form in the consumer forum library? Struggling to find one.
Also, do i enclose a £10 cheque as its states UPTO £10 so I wont know the cost when sending the SARicon out.

    Thanks again

    It's a straight £10 not "up to £10"
The SARicon is here, letter 2

It will be £10.00 per bank and a Postal Order or cheque is the way to pay.

You should also ensure you send the mail recorded signed for delivery so you have a proof of receipt. You can then count down your 40 day deadline.

SAR from the stickies at the top of this forum.... Full SAR for ppi

There is another one in the bank templates libraryicon

Ok cheers guys, they have been sent.
I have found an old one from HSBCicon, is there a possiblity i can claim? Im being hassled by two claims companys to pass me the details bit at £200 upfront cost and 20% commision (plus they are way to pushy!) I would like to do this myself:

HSBC - loand started Dec 05
    Principal Loan £4800
    PPIicon £790
    30 months
    14.9%

29 payments of 190 for loan and £32 for PPI.

Total interesticon - £914 for loan and £150 for PPI

I have noticed I ticked and signed the following box:

    " I X X wish to purchase a Personal Loan Protection Plan
I understand that I am purchasing the product ticked above on credit provided by you and the the terms relating the credit to the product can be found above and in the Loan Terms attached"

Any ideas where I stand on this??
    Thanks again

If you have a valid reason for claiming mis-selling.

    CLAIM IT.

You may have ticked the box but unless all the details were explained to you and you should see this as they should have completed a questionnaire to ensure all the correct questions were asked to ensure the PPI was suitable to you needs... this is an example...

PPI products have been pushed onto unsuspecting consumers. Very few products have fulfilled the requirement of Insurance due to the exclusion clauses, some have been added on without the creditor being made aware and quite a lot have been added with no Consumer Credit Agreement only an Application Form which does not fall within the Legistlation of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and so would more than likely be unenforceable.
