I have a query regarding ESA, to sum up my sitiuation, I am a 28 year old male co-habiting with my 24 year old girlfriesnd, we have a 14 month old son, are both unemployed as we were made redundanticon, we rent pur 3 bedroom house and receive chld beneft/tax and housing benefit/councl tax benefit.
Now we were getting JSA as a joint clam up untl went into hosptal on 4june for a knee operaton and as a result am unable to work for 6 weeks, have put a clam n for ESA after speakng wth the job centre and sent sck note etc n,.
I made the claim on 8th June to see if they could update me on the progress of my claim, I was told that they received my claim on the 12th but t would not be processed until the 10th July, and that I should apply for a criss loan, however because my last payment of JSA was on the 15th June I cannot claim for this untl the 29th.

Any advice will be greatly received
