    Default Broken appliance

    Hi peeps

Could someone give me some advice. I rent a house that came with integrated appliances and a fridge/freezer. The fridge /freezer has broken, but the letting agent says that they are not responsible for it as it is not in the letting agreement. Is he right? What options do I have. I am of the opinion that as it came with the house, they would be responsible for the repair/replacement.

    Thanks

Just some guy. I try to help, but all advice is my opinion.

No inventory was taken. The thing was in the house when we moved in and we have lived there for 4 years.

    Hmmm difficult one then.

You still in contract or are you now on the periodic? If its the former, you may just have to grin and bare it until your due for renewal, if its the later, start making leaving noises unless its fixed/replaced.
