just had a call from my OR regarding the reclaim of bank charges, we have got a joint account with my wife with the Halifax bank and they have confirmed that they have taken £7002.00 in bank charge sinces the account was opened. However now iam bankrupt 50 % of the charges will go to my OR and the other 50% will be paid to my wife £3,500.00
The OR confirmed yes iam bankrupt but my wife is not and as the account is in joint names we can reclaim the funds also the bank account is not included in my BR as it was not overdrawn. I had a Halifax card card in my name but this will no way effect the charges claim.
YES the OR are happy for all BR`s to claim their charges back as long as its a joint bank account, thus the 50% we do get repaid to your wife / partner.
