    Default CCA Request

Hi can someone tell me what letter or what is the format of the letter i need to send to my bank in order to receive a copy of my CCA? Is it just a matter of sending £1 and saying you want a copy? My bank has already admitted they destroyed it but are still pursuing me for the interest which i dispute. the financial Ombudsman seem to be on the side of the bank

    thanks Shaz

    Default CCA Request

    Hi
I have posted in a few places. However, I would like to learn the correct format/template for requesting my CCA from my bank. I am disputing the interesticon they have applied. I did ask the Financial Ombudsmanicon to get involved but they said if the bank had destroyed the CCA there was nothing more they could do. Is this correct - what is the role of the FO? I did request my CCA before but didnt send a £1 although the bank acknowledged they received the request.

    Hello shaz1000,

Did your bank send you anything at all in response to your CCA request and did they actually put in writing that they no longer have your agreement?

    Hello shaz1000,

I am getting confused here .... (not difficult really) ...... is this thead about the same account that you are talking about on the Tesco etc thread?

If so...... opened in April 2008 .... and they admit they have destroyed the agreement and it is not available???? .... seems strange!!

The following I posted on the other thread ..... if both threads are the same account I will only post here now ...

    CAUTION

Am I right in thinking you are starting to ask questions (i.e. CCA request) to your bank regarding your credit card account that is with the same bank where you have a current account?

If so .... proceed with caution .... I strongly suggest you first open another (parachute account) bank account somewhere with a bank that is not connected with your current one and change over any direct debits AND especially stop your wages being paid into your current account if this is at present happening. Otherwise you are in a tricky situation taking matters further because the bank may pay your credit card from your bank account funds with a gem called "Right to Offset". (This effectively means they can take money from your current account to bring the credit card account repayments up to date).

Yes, I have already changed over all direct debits etc. My main reason for saying my account was with the bank was because i notice someone said not to sign the CCA request letter. But the bank already have my signatureicon. My mortgageicon is also with the same bank.

    Hi, shaz.

Send the 'dispute' letter, see what they come back with.
