Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have registered Princes College for 6 months language course to start on summer period. Due to my work load in my home country, I could not realize my plan to come london for english course however I have paid course fee and all accommodation , registration course full in advance which was 935 Pound.
I could not apply for visa in my home country either. When I asked the school management to refund my money after cancellation fee deducted, the college said that they can only make refund incase of visa refusal.
I was not refused by embassy. I only changed my plan to come london and postponed my arrival for indefinite period. I do not want school to keep my money for future plans which is not certain.
I told them that this is customer abuse and improper benefit.
I have concern about this college rules and management.
The same thing happened to me. First they over charged me £15 for the text book. Then when I had an emergency refused to refund the balance of the course. The manager Max is rude and and a rip-off merchant. The classes are badly taught and homework is never given.
I tried to move classes but was refused. My only advice to fellow students thinking of studying at Princes College is AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I am going to make an official complaint to the British Council and would suggest that you do the same.
I can't offer much advice in this case except that anyone planning to study English in the UK should check that the college is on the approved list of the British Council. A lot of institutions are just visa factories.
