The two credit reference firms contacted by Money Box - Experian and Equifax - said they were happy with their existing procedures for making sure data entries are accurate.
James Jones from Experian believes his company already has sufficient safeguards in place.
"We test the data before it's added to credit reports, we monitor the data on an ongoing basis and report any discrepancies back to the organisation," he said.

" Ah... so, the credit reference agencies are, it appears prepared to take a higher proportion of blame for inaccuracies on credit reports".

"Really, is that so". If that happend to be the case, then why did the subject involved have to go to the stage of engaging a solicitor and come to the brink of legal action.

"It would appear that this so called test is fundementally flawed" More importantly how is it based????. For example, type your own name into any search engine on the internet, and you will come up with hundreds of results for your name... what then?? send out hundreds of demands, and hope that you respond, if you have the same name???.
