Any advice on the follwoing please :
Basically been working for a finance comp for 11 months (1 year mark July 26th)
Failed a SC because of fianancial situation this is ok because it only relates to a tiny part of my role and my two bosses have confirmed I can continue in my daily role as this will not be affected.
HR dept called me in today as on the SC form I marked I had no defaults yet on a second form that was sent later I had to show all my financial issues and explained due to loss of Job previous I had missed some payments and some loans had been passed to DCA's but in house.Although obviously a credit check shows that I have defaults (not checked my credit file) I explained even though I had missed payments to some loans I had not recieved a default notice off any of them and therefore have not offically been defaulted as such.
Anyway I have to wait a couple of weeks while HR go through procedures, first one informal interview with my boss but she did say it could go further due to gross misconduct as part of my employers rules or then again it may not be continued if I proved the reason for omitting the information on the first SC sheet.
What are my chances for dismissal?
A SC requirement was never stipulated on the application form or subsequent interview when I joined the company. In fact I work in sensitive areas on a daily basis and my IT bosses are quite happy for this to continue whereas HR seem to be going down the handbook route where gross misconduct can be considered for not disclosing all information on a SC but as I explained today I genuinely have not recieved a default notice off any of my creditors.
