Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I'm doing this on behalf of my OH but Barclays really seem to be giving him the runaround. We sent in the DPA letter then they sent us a letter saying they were going to refer the entire account to a credit agency.
Then, a few days later after they had waited the full 40 days they sent half the statements which only went back to May 2004 (as is standard i'm seeing) and carried on about teh microfiche argument.
So now, we don't have full statements to glean the charges from and it seems like they're stalling... i've come up with £340 in charges dating back to June 2005, should i just make it £410 and have them come up with the justification that it may be less?
Also, i know i should send them the letter about the account being in dispute so they can't refer to a credit agency but they just ignored the last one we tried with that one.
