Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
hello. Recently cca'd student loans for my OH and they replied with 2x illegible contracts. I wrote them and told them that the illegible copies breach the cca and require a legible copy. Theysend the same illegible copies plus a copy of an application form with legible terms and conditions and pass my account to smith and lawson... Yadda yadda yadda.. We all know the story. However, they seem to concede to the fact that the contract is illegible by sending the legible and irrelevant application form. My oh is nearly 50.. Can he just write these buggers off? Does he still need to defer next time or what should he do?? They are chasing £260 in arrears for a late deferrment (guess what? The lost the deferment forms) and are charging the usual £10 per letter....
