Hi All,
I have just had some interesting conversations with the ICO, fosand the OFT today about Apex who had bought a debt from Halifax that was in dispute at the time and are now threatening me with a charging order even though they have ignored my CPR and SAR
requests on three separate occassions.
All three reiterated the need to make sure that I was fully aware of my circumstances before embarking on a course of action that could leave me in a worse of situation but to also not be afraid to complain.
Especially with the OFT, they cannot complain individually for you or on your behalf but if enough companies complain about a particular company that will trigger an investigation. Just think Mackenzie Hall!
I had threatened it enough times in writing but had never followed through. I have just spent the last hour reporting companies to the OFT and complaining to the FOS and it's the best hour I have just spent.
If we want things to change for the better, we all have to make a stand. I'm not saying complain for the heck of it but if you really are being screwed over, don't sit quietly!
