Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Thanks to this site (and in particular Nero12) I received notification that Cornwall Council are cancelling the pcn they issued me with.
It was issued using code 1, even though I was displaying a valid Blue Badge but also had a scribbled note about Obstruction of a Junction. However the appeal was soley on the Code 1 contravention (parking in a restricted area during prescribed hours) and, as I've said, was accepted.
The wording on the letter from the Council did intrigue me a little though. I quote
'Please ensure that you do not park so as to obstruct Vehicles in future as if we had cause to issue a similar notice to you or this vehicle we would not be able to cancel it.'
so, if they issue another PCN wrongly they'll make me pay it :?
