Husband got his credit report through the online free trial thingy with Experian, we are looking at getting a new car and wondered how it looked. He has a loan which was a large amount when he took it out, the loan has maybe 3 months left to pay. Only thing is its no where to be found on his credit report????? Hes had this loan since 2005. How accurate are Experian and why the flip is it not on his credit file very confused.
Just had another look at his report and the joint account isnt on there nor his credit card, thats 3 different companies. I remember couple of yrs ago we got his report through same method and i'm sure they were all on it??? Have they upgraded their systems or something and missed off aload of information???
He applied for credit for a car only to be turned down by 2 finance companies. They both used experian to get credit scores so he got no where. What can we do now??? His credit file is worse than rubbish cos its got nothing on it apart from this one credit card that is using 75% of his available limit which is nothing, we rent we dont have any mobile contracts. Those who dont have credit cant get credit grrrrrrrrrrrr if we couldn't afford it we wouldn't be doing it.
How do they actually work out a persons credit score? I took a deep breath and got mine today through experian, i was expecting it to be really bad as my ex left me in a lot of money probs when we split and 6 yrs hasnt passed yet I have 3 defaults on my report (not half as bad as i was expecting) and my credit score is higher than my husbands how can that be?? His report is clear of anything like that. Were both in the "Fair" catagory even more confused
How do they actually work out a persons credit score?
Yes it would be interesting to know, cos at the moment my credit score is
going down each month, even though all my payments are upto day
But whether experian are willing to offer us information how they score us
as to them it is probably confidential, I did do How to improve my score and answer all the questions accordingly and it shows my score as
825, but in reality my score is 719.. very confusing
