    Default Debt Relief Order

    I'm trying to find info on Debt relief orders to help a friend.I'd like to know if they can be used in Scotland before I suggest it to her.

    Bank of Scotland account 1 - £2,666 WON
    Bank of Scotland account 2 - £2,500 on hold
    GE Capital charges -£30 won (hey, every little helps!)
    Barclays Partner Finance £425 charges - £225 offer accepted.

    Finally debt free after 4.5 years, thanks to my Debt Management Plan through Payplan. There is no better feeling

    Ignore that question - found out the answer! It's only available in England & Wales, which is a shame cos it sounded perfect for her

    TBH I think bankrupcy is her only option, she's in temp emergency housing, her ex has left her with all the debts, and although she works full time she's only left with £1 excess income which she has to pay to the council for her rent arrears and has no assets.
