Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Due to a failed spell as trying self employment, I racked up some rather large Elect/gas bill with British Gas. I have paid some bits of here and there as and when I can.
The problem is now I am leaving my rental property to move into my partners house. I still of course want to pay of what I have used however before I call and ask them for advice, I came across your site.
Could anyone advise me on what I can do. I dont want it to effect my partners accounts at his house. Will they allow me to pay of the account in binstallments when I leave the property at the end of the month?
Will they be horrible to me and demand full payment? I'm a bit of a shrinking violet on the phone!, could anyone advise of what I could suggest to them in terms of pay back? I could probabley afford now perhaps £50 a month to each one. One bill is for £300ish the other for £500ish
