they there for want me to confirm the dates that I lived at acertain address, the address in questtion I have never ever lived at, I have heard of it but never lived there.
And they want me to ring them where one of there specialist account managers are waiting to discuss the matter,

A data controller can refuse a SAR if they are not satisfied that the subject requesting it has not supplied sufficient evidence to prove their identity.
Calling them to discuss any business is not one of those requirements.
Send them a copy of your passport/driving licence etc with your sig removed.
This is proof of name.
A utility bill will provide proof of address.
If you did not live at the address they claim then say so.
If you hae moved from the original address that you was living when you had any dealings with them,then give the original address-as well as your current one.
That should then enable them to process your application.
You should tell them that you consider you have then provided adequate proof to enable their compliance.
