Default Does Experian Report Put Me Back On Radar?

Ok Folks im going to tell you how it is and tell you the truth on here and im looking for a little advice. I have been on here under a different name a long time ago and the folks on here helped me out so so much with their advice that saved me thousands.

For the last 4 years since moving home i have not applied for any type of credit or even tried to upgrade my bank account etc. I work hard and pay all my bills every month. Basically im keeping a low profile. Not a single thing have i applied for in this time.

I made this choice basically to go off "Radar" for 6 yearsicon to try and recover my credit record. It wasnt that i had any serious debts but the odd one or 2 that amounted up. I had hoped to keep a low profile for this period then in 6 years check my experian report and see what my status was then hopefully live a normal life without fear of baliffs, debt collectorsicon etc etc. Hopefully as well to then live a normal life having learnt from my mistakes as a youth.

All is going well however i need to check my credit report. I believe a close member of my family has used my name and details to gain credit at their address, an address i used to live at a long time ago. I believe they have not paid any of this credit back therefore adding a mark next to my name.

Now the question is if i get a report from experian so that i may check this will i basically be hoisting up a big red flag that shouts to every DCA in the land "Hey im over here"!!!!!!!!

I made mistakes i know, I settled the majority and then just as i was about to crumble i made the decision to start again. I need to check that there is no element of fraud going on but at the same time i dont wanna tell the world where i am in doing so.

Will getting an up to date experian report show me on the system again??

Can other agencies access that info to find me or will experian update my files with DCAs etc telling them where i am??

    as far as i know
experian etc do not report new activity to those that might be interested in your file

it will only be found out if someone looks.

TBH: your situation sounds a wee bit too dodgy to let it ride
you need to find out what is going on .

Here is a sentance from Experians autotrace:

Unsuccessful trace requests are placed on Constant Review, whereby Autotrace will automatically notify you if new data is matched to the individual on review. Autotrace can also assist with your efforts to contact a traced individual by finding and returning their residential telephone number.
    and the site:

    Experian Autotrace Product Menu

or Trace lost customers with Autotrace Plus, debtor tracing solution - Autotrace Plus - Experian

All 3 cras have these tracing products

From the moment I signed up to credit expert I have been bombarded with offers of help from payday loanicon companies, debt assistance companies and offers of other loans from all sorts of dubious organisations. I've gone from zero to at least 20 emails a week and 5-10 pieces of hard copy mail.

I will never believe they don't immediately pass your data on without being asked for it.

I had a brand new 'spare' sim card.

When I signed up, I used that Sim number.

I cannot believe the amount of spam texts and calls on that number.

    Thanks guys.....

Do i have any option then other than to come out from under my rock and take the chance. Im working hard to repair everything i did wrong a long time ago and am getting along pretty well so far. I probably have excellent credit now to be honest its been so long but i just want to stay the way i am. The fact that a family member may have done this though leaves me with no option but to find an answer somewhere, somehow!!!!!!!

Can't you ask them straight out whether or not they have done it? also stating that you are getting your credit report in 2 days so they might aswell tell you now (so to speak).
