Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I owed BG final payments when I changed supplier, but for one reason and another I didn't pay straight away and I had 2 DCA's chasing for the outstanding amounts, one of whom turned up on my doorstep last week unannounced.but I promptly sent him on his way.
Anyway, I was made redundant yesterday and will receive my monies next week, so last week I thought I would do the right thing and send BG, not the dca money owed. I post dated the cheques and put a covering letter in explaining this.
Just looked on internet banking, and they have only gone and presented the cheques already and they have bounced. I didn't think the bank would accept them if they were post dated or if it wasn't acceptable to BG they would have returned them.
I sent BG an email enquiring why they couldn't have returned the cheques. Today I received a phone call from a lady called Donna, she has took my bank charges off the gas bill and I will now phone her next week to make my payment.
