    Default liability order

Just recieved a liability order from the council, the first letter from council about it, did'nt even recieve court papers.

It regards a property I sold 2 years ago and is for the period after I sold it.

I have the completion statement from the conveyancer and a copy of the land register showing the new owner.

Do I need to have it set asside and reheard or is there another route to take.

    thanks in advance

    Default Re: liability order

There is no need to get it set asideicon as it only lasts one year and does not show on any credit ref etc; BUT if it was me, then I would kick up hell and demand that the council get it withdrawn and request compensation.

Why should you have to do any work because a lazy sodding council with obviously thick, lazy staff have got it wrong yet again.

Make sure you get back every penny you spend including the amount you will spend on having the documents copied and the stamps and stationery you use to send it to them.
