I've been offered 40% off mortagage plus waiver of exit fee of £120. Got official letter this a.m.....totally saving to go elswhere is £41,821.58.

how do you qualify ?my fixed rate ran outlast november i have been told by one of their reps that the offer of a discount has expired but may start again next month??

Think you need to ask them. Don't know if it's open to everyone on their books.

I'm with Oakwood, I was originally with GMAC (they took it over without my consent), I too have been offered a discount.

IMO this is either due to house prices falling or possibly due to their loan s being unenforceable.

There are some test cases around the corner regarding this.

Could you tell me more about these test cases and loan from Oakwood being uneforceable?

There are some selected cases at Chester county court that have been stayed.

Now Oakwood are offering discounts for mortgages to be settled, just putting 2 and 2 together but may be getting 5.
