When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition, they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to have happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI Insurance has been sorted. Now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

The SARicon to this one is missing despite sending recorded signed for with a £10.00 postal order as is the same for my ltsbicon same result no record of delivery. I had much the same issues on my own RBSicon claim 3 out of 9 letters not delivered. I have my suspicions that the local office is to blame so I am switching to post in another area. The issue of course will be posted here on my thread on earlier complaints..

Royal Mail - Losing it! alanalana

Something very fishy 5 out of 13 recorded delivery posts never made it.

It seems Barclaysicon got the letter but as usual Royal Mail tracking have not record (what a useless organisation. You pay £1.14 for first class recorded signed for and they cannot produce the goods)

Time for another complaint on another forum

I agree this is extremely annoying. TBH, I would send a complaint, at the very least you will get your money back.

They specifically suggest using Recorded post for legal documents that you require a signatureicon for.

What a jolly good idea. I know the mail got there but Royal Mail should be able to prove the track and trace and they cannot therefore the fee for track and trace was missappropriated

Bunch of PPIicon stuff arrived via DHL inner envelope totally ripped apart so could be an issue here. Not had time to go through the bundle of papers yet but will do so with a fine tooth comb.

The package arrived one day outside of the 40 day limit

They just have to have the last infuriatingly last post

On a quick scan they may have ommitted the CCA and T & C's but that can be remedied within another 14 days after I have had a good look at what they have sent. If it is missing then a CCA request will be on it's way

No true copies of CCAs or T &Cs in the package but have managed to ascertain two barclayloan protected accounts one being refinanced by another. Being protected that must mean PPIicon so I now have to write back complaining that the SARicon has not been fully complied with. Also no demands and needs/customer duty of care questionnaire to ascertain the product was fit for purpose which it was obviously not. Turned up a letter in the PPI bundle saying "we notice you have payment protection why not put in a claim" to cover your unemployment.

Claim submitted but turned down the PPI was clearly mis-sold.

Letters being fired off as soon as I get a minute.

I thrive on mischief where PPIicon is concerned. I hate the fact PPI has been a massive ripoff and most folks are still not aware of the fact

So if I can fight back and use the system to fight back fairly ( something not considered when PPI was added to loans etc) then I would call it a fair fight with the proviso I can let the world know about the tactics of the banks.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.

fosicon complaint on this one goes in tomorrow no response by deadline. So you have to do what you have to do.

Months to wait but already have a capone FOS complaint in. A positive result on the LV complaint. Plus several others on bank charges and RBSicon.

Total PPIicon recovered so far over £18K and approx £2.7K in bank charges.

What a nice site this is

When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition, they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to have happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI Insurance has been sorted. Now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

Formal complaint submitted to the fosicon with a complaint to the ICO about the failure of Barclaysicon to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. It will now be a waiting game

Just to post up another success via the fosicon route.

Barclaysicon were very slow to act on PPIicon mis-selling claim and kept writing letters stating they are not in a position to give an answer. So off we go to the FOS and yes result in - £4.5k+ refund by cheque 15 days after the FOS confirmed the acceptance of the adjudication.

PPI SARicon and claim and responses went from Jul 09 up to Nov 09. Complaint to the FOS in Jan acknowledged 20 Jan result by cheque 21 April. That would indicate a fairly good improvement in response times by the FOS.

The final letter was pretty much condescending i.e.

We take complaints seriously as the comments you have made help us to identify where we can improve in the future. Once again I am sorry for the problems you have experienced. Thank you for letting us know.

I trust this information is to your satisfaction.

It seems to me that you are treated with total disdain up until the FOS start writing to them. Then they come over as being all nice and helpful.

The number of letters received stating we are investigating, we are not in a position to give you a full response, or a full response is taking longer than expected. You can of course take your complaint to the FOS etc. (Take your complaint to the FOS is a MUST) All of this is to try and make you throw in the towel. You must never give in, press on and with PPI complaints to the FOS the chances are you will get your money back

Will have to ask my good lady. Being from Scotland she may well refuse although she is a generous soul

Have one outstanding claim against Capital Oneicon with the fosicon for a few pounds not thousands.

Then it is time to delve into the past with credit cards, store cards just to see what information I can get to possibly start more trouble. I may not have a chance of success but if I can get enough information to complain to the FOS then that will do me.
