I currently have a TV, Phone, Broadband package with Virgin media. I am moving to a different flat in a couple of weeks and there is no cable in the new area. I have spoken to Virgin who says that if I cancel the contract I will have to pay £120 disconnection fee because I would have broken the 18 month agreement, however they have said that I can transfer to their Virgin National Service (Broadband & evening calls via BT Line) at no charge. When viewing the flat I noticed that there was a BT phone line socket but have no idea which line rental the previous tennant used, therefore I will have to sign up with BT for line rental. I understand there could be a reconnection charge of approximately £120 which they will be able to tell me when I sign up but I really want to know if I will be in breach of BT,s contract when I request transfer by Virgin. As I understand it I will pay for Broadband and calls from Virgin and pay BT for the line rental
