Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting my nearly 16 year old son a scooter and CBT, or whether it would be better to save my cash, wait a year and sort him out with a car and lessons.
He thinks that he won't be able to take a test till he's 18, and I remember there being a big brouhaha about raising the driving age from 17 - but did it ever actually happen?
The DVLA website still says 17 and makes no mention of a future change.
No it never changed, and to my knowledge there are no official plans in the pipeline nor in the DSA trade press.
My personal thoughts on this (and similar other crap ideas from the government) is that they stick these rumours out there and measure the amount of uproar the get from us peasants. When the flack from it is more than they expected, they claim it was just an idea they kicking around and never really planned to impliment it.
Thanks for that!
I've been googling like crazy and notice there's dozens of stories from the Daily Mail crowing about the success of their campaign to raise the age.
