I was wondering if you could help me? I have received a parking fine from UK PAO Ltd, I parked on Time Square Leeds on friday night, if you know the area you will know the estate is very bad for parking there was not one parking space on the roads, i would have had to park either in Westpark or Headingley.
Near the garage is to the apartment there was a small piece of land, next to a few parking spaces, I parked on here as i had a small child with me and within 20 mins of me parking i had received a £60 ticket. On the ticket it says i have parked on the pavement (people would not walk on here there is no where to go) Also i have seen cars parked on there before.
My sister told me that her friend had parked on the estate before he received a ticket but it was only £30.
Should i write to them and explain and hope they cancel the ticket or shouldi just ignore it?
There is no appeals process. This is a private company - they'll never turn down cash. You'll always get back their 'appeal rejected' template letter back.
All you have is an unenforceable invoice masqerading as some sort of official 'ticket'.
It's a [problem].
• do not pay
• do not contact them
• ignore their threatening junkmail
• same applies to the rubbish their powerless debt collectors will send you
• they will give up and go away
• they will not take you to court, but bleat on about it in the toilet paper they'll post to you
Private companies have no powers to issue fines, only recoup actual losses. Parking on the pavement has cost them zilch.
It's a con. A trick.
Don't lose any sleep over it. Just forget about it and relax.

My sisters friend didnt pay, he hasnt heard from them again. Which is strange as i thought they would have tried to contact him and pressure him like so many others on here.

I recently got done in a private car park.........my space was taken by a friend. so i parked in an illeagally marked disabled bay( that many residance use as its not correctly marked)...The P.A.O put a sign for visitor parking and a contractual agreement whilst my car was there.
and had the cheek to fine me £60 (with the standard £3 per day threat)..........yet put up the incorrect sinage on an illeagally marked bay.
I was at the Leeds the other day & parked up o totally unaware that the area was privately owned. I had only been gone 15 mins & returned to my car to find to my horror a parking charge ticket slapped on my windscreen ! It was as though somebody had been watching for unsuspecting drivers to park up there so they could pounce on any unaware victims !!!
The ticket demands I pay £60 within 10 days then after that there will be a £3 per day parking charge until court action is taken !
Now I do know that these rogues liase with the DVLA to obtain your home address which I don't think is right too !
The more I read the more I hear people saying don't pay them & ignore all correspondances from them......can you inform me of my rights here please. I normally am very observant on where I park & this has really rocked my boat
There was a handful of cars up there, one which had a ticket on.
Thankfully i prevented another motorist from getting caught out on the [problem] !
Basically i feel very strongly about this & feel intimidated by the way they have done this to me. I just need sound advice as to what i should do.
read the 1000's of posts, in 99.9999999999999999999999 9% of the cases the give up after 4 - 8 pleading letters, and the odd 0.00000000001 % change they do try court 99.99999% of the time they have lost
all they can do and nothing else is send scary letter "WITH BIG RED WRITING"
DID THAT SCARE YOU, OF COURSE NOT SO NEITHER CAN THEY

Just hate these con artists at work ! I know for a fact he was watching me park up & walk away from my vehicle so he could swiftly slap a ticket on & scurry back into his hellhole !

I been to the Citizens advice & rang consumer direct but just getting passed from pillar to post ...i need firm evidence that if i ignore all correspondance then hopefully the scumbags will give up....any help most appreciated
