Hi there, I opened a student account with the Abbey about three years ago. I ended up leaving university and had an overdraft of £1500. Since leaving University I haven't had a regular job and so have no regular income. Abbey have continued to add interest charges on the account and now I owe over £2500 with roughly £50 being added each month. I have been ignoring this for some time *foolishly* and now I'm, starting to worry a little bit about it. Is there a way of stopping the interest being added on, consdering I am not earning any money? I am completely unaware of my rights in this situation and have looked round the internet and can't find any suitable advice.
