Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I withdraw cash out of an ATM and was duely informed that this had incurred a unauthorised overdraft charge. I rang A&L and professed that I thought if the money was not in the account then the machine would tell me I had insufficient funds, their answer was that because of any embarrasment this could cause, they honoured the ATM request and charged me £25 for going over my agreed overdraft. My point is I never requested this service and certainly didn't welcome it ( i would have preffered to have been told I had insufficient funds), could this come under the category of excessive charges?
