In 2005 I was made bankrupt, but I think this was wrong Legally.I was a sole trader and had an account with a well known company,In approx 2005 I was in some financial difficulty,I owed this company approx 6000. Because I did not have all the money I offered to repay the debt at the rate of 500 per month, the company agreed to this, after approx 2 payments of the 500,I was served with a CC summons,I attended the court and the registrar agreed with me that this company had agreed to the repayments,I was told to carry on paying the 500 per month,I missed a payment and they had me in court again,I managed to borrow the outstanding balance and paid it before I went to court, they then hit me for 800 charges which they were granted,I gave the registra all my financial details and stated that I could not afford to pay these charges as I was now on benefits, anyway this company made me bankrupt for 1800,I do not think I should have been summonsed in the first place as I was paying the agreed debt monthly.I lost my home and everything through this.
