Hello..I was wondering if you guys could help me out here
Now i went to visit my cousin who happens to live on the Bovis Home Estate.
She GAVE me a PERMIT to put on my dash to display and told me to park opposite a garage.
I parked the car at 9pm, returned to see my pride and joy being towed away at 10.32 pm. I rang up hatfield police who told me they were informed at 10.31 that my car was going to be towed away.
I was told that the permit was invalid as it did not cover 'private land' which apparently is where the car was parked. I was told that if the car had been parked on the road it would have been OK due to the permit.
Now I was charged £370 for being clamped, a clamp release charge and a call out for being towed..How can they do this all in under an hour? Also there was NO proof that the car was ever clamped (Is there a minimum clamp time before it gets towed away?)
The company that has caused this is mess is known as Platinum Security who are based in slough.
Thanks for your advice.
