    Unhappy Reclaiming PPI-please help (NEWBIE)

    Hi all

    I'm new to this site and would like abit of assistance/information anyone can provide me with the following;

    I currently have PPIicon on 4/5 Credit Cards. I would like to reclaim this PPI, as it was mis-sold to me. I have template letters to hand, to action-however i have read that many Credit Card companies when challenged on PPI issues, will either refund the amount-and request the account be settled in full immediately. Or i have read they may issue a refund, but then pass on your details to a DCAicon.

    I don't want to go through a process which could leave me in more financial difficulties than i already am. I am also planning on requesting the CCA's on these Credit Cards too. Should I explore 1 avenue at a time? If so, which one? The PPI or CCA?

    One final query, would be i took out a loan with Natwesticon bank in 2000/01 (not too sure of date), but being only young at the time, i was talked into taking out a PPI policy. Can i seek to recover these costs or are they out of date?

    Thanks in advance for all your help

    Dav

    dont know where you've read the scare stories but ignore them.

    do some reading of the big sticky threads at the top.

    go for the PPIicon on all of them.

    then see what bal is left.

    dont forget the interesticon at their rate + ten add stat 8%

    sorry dx, what do you mean by "their rate+10 add stat 8%? i kind of understand that whatever the figure of the PPIicon paid so far should be totalled up....where and when should the 8% statutory interesticon be calculated from please?

    opps fingers........

    add their interestrate to the PPIicon you have paid & then add the stat 8% you would get if it went to court,
    that appears to be what most co. settle at or should!

    there is a very good large thread at the top stickys on it all + a calculator, but me head don't stretch that far.
