Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
If anybody say my previous threads i've sorted my Germany in 5 weeks problem.... my girlfriend is now doing the driving lol. Not the best option but its better than cancelling the holiday and not going at all.
So, next thing is trying to keep my licence so i think im going to go down the court route now. I've been reading up on mitigation and a traffic offence law firm has offered to "prepare my mitigation in full and present it to the court" for £250 + VAT. From what i understand from what i've red on the internet its just a letter explaining what difficulty its going to cause me to loose my licence with my job in the "current financial climate" ect.
i just want opinions on whether people think that is a reasonable price for what i am getting or if you know of any other cheaper way around it?
If the solicitor wants £250 plus VAT, (that's £287.50!)
It could well be cheaper going back to provisional and passing your test again. Theory costs £31 and your practical is £62 making £93 Add in the cost of a few hours instruction maybe to get you back up to the "proper" standard at about £20 an hour and you could probably get it all done in about 3 weeks for £160 or so.
after-thought.
Do you have to pay them the 287 quid whether they manage to talk the court into letting you keep your license or not? If so, sounds like a huge risk and I think I'd go for the re-test route.
