Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
We have a vehicle on finance with Private & Commercial however as my wife has had to give up work through ill health we cannot afford the monthly payments. We wrote to them advising we would like to terminate the agreement (we have paid over 50%) however they have sent us a letter advising that a default notice was issued on 14th Nov which should have been satisfied by 30th Nov. The payment was actually made on the 9th December. They are now saying we cannot terminate the agreement! Is this correct? Can we do anything about this?
