Default Overdraft Cancelled And Now Being Charged

Maybe someone has some advice for me. I have been with Lloydsicon TSB for over 15 years. I had an overdrafticon of £4000 until recently when it was removed without any warning whatsoever. This cause extreme problems in not only paying my mortgageicon but also a loan to Lloyds TSB themselves. I spoke to the manager who was not only very rude but refused to put the ovedraft back on my account.

NowI will keep putting money in to clear the money overdrawn but it is a lot and will take a little time, the problem is that they are now charging me £200 per month for an unauthorised overdraft which I find unbelievable seeing as they removed it.

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Hi

if I were you I would open another account and then start a claim for unfair fees back. I hae been dealing with similar problem with Lloydsicon for my son. He cleared his overdrafticon, but they added another fee on, then fees on top and he now owes 1500 accrued from fees alone.

Put a claim in - your claim would be stayed until the outcme of the recent OFT case

I had the same problem 6 months ago when they removed my overdraft of £800 and froze my other account until i paid back the £800 in one sum. They dont give a monkeys and although i have been with them since 1981 it means nothing to them. I opened up another account with another bank and it helped to open up my eyes to the dirty gits. i am now claiming back a total of £8000 in charges/interest and PPIicon. Then when its all paid back they can get stuffed!!

    Thanks for the replys,

I am going to send a letter explaining that I am perfectly willing to pay any interesticon but I will not accept any charges attached to this account. I will take your advice and apply to have these charges cancelled. Let you know what happens.

    Regards

Good luck but don't hold your breath. This is a nice little earner for them in bank charges and they don't give a flying fig for your 15 yrs.
I'm a 30 yr customer of Lloydsicon but they tried to stiff me over £150 charges and that lead to the starting up of this forum and the entire bank charges revolution - I hope that they think they got good value.

Do write to them but after they have knocked you back, come back here and let us know.
We may be able to suggest a more exciting way forward.
