I was just a year in front of you and never recevied anything either. I just sent them an email to ask if they can confirm I was discharged and they said yes and if I need a letter of confirmation it would have cost £8 but as I never needed it I didn't bother.

You should also have received a copy of the circular to all creditors which is sent out by the Permanent Trustee in respect of your own and the PT's discharge. Unless, of course, there are issues in your case which have prevented it from being closed eg any assets that you owned which are still to be realised but, after seven years, this would be most unusual. Does the PT have your current address?
However, as IdaInFife has said, you can apply to the Accountant in Bankruptcy for a certificate of discharge (now £10) and copies of this can be sent to the credit reference agencies to assist with any future credit requirements.
