Hi, my friend is attempting to get his charges back from Lloyds Tsb Credit Card but first needs to find his account details so im preparing a letter to them quoting his address at the time, his d. of b. and the date he opened his account. What i need to know please is what address should i send this letter to?

Ps- he also had finance on a car with 'Black Horse Ltd', is this Lloyds tsb too? And can he claim charges back from them for a finance deal he had with them please?

To get my friend's account number from Lloyds Tsb i sent a letter(from my friend, so to speak!) asking for the account number and gave them my friend's date of birth, address when he held the card and the date of when he started the account and the date it ended. It had his current address at the top of the letter!
Unfortunately, this is the answer he received:
Thank you for your recent letter.
Please note that section 78 of the consumer credit act 1974 ("CCA") is entirely seperate from the Data Protection Legislation and Data Subject Access Requests. As such, we are only obliged to comply with requests made under section 78 of the CCa if we receive the fee stated in section 78(1). this fee is £1. Unfortunately, we have not received enogh details from you to find and process your request. Please re-send your letter with the relevant card numbers, account details and up to dat home address. Lloyds TSB Credit Card numbers generally contain 15 or 16 digits.
If you would still like to make a request pursuant to section 78 of the CCA, please write with the appropriate authorisation and fee to: Account Services 3rd Floor, Sussex house, 1-9 Gloucester Place, Brighton, BN1 4BE

Does this sound like they are trying to put off my friend? They mention including his account details but that is what he was making the request for!!
Please can anyone give me any advice as to what to send them as i thought i included everything i had to, apart from the payment of £1!!
Hi, my letter read:
Dear sir/madam,
Please can you send me my account number for the credit card i held with you from the dates **** to *****. I then gave my address at the time and my date of birth.
Sorry, don't think you went wrong, think they have got their wires crossed, write again explaining the situation, regarding their reply and tell them you want the account details.

Hi, it has now been 40 days since i sent the 2 recorded delivery letters to tsb asking for my friend's account number. I gave everything they would need such as previous address, date of birth etc and i even included a cheque ijn each letter for £1 each as they requested in the previous letter my friend received (i've mentioned it earlier in the thread). Is it me or are they deliberately stalling? I notice that the 6 years threshold actually started 6 years April(when his account started) just gone meaning that he now cannot claim from then onwards. What on earth can i do please?
