Thread: wireless network at work

Hi is there anybody with knowledge in this field?.
I use my laptop on a public wireless network at work.
Is it possible for a person to view which sites im visiting and even view my personal files?
How to i go about securing my laptop from this threat?
I have nothing to hide as such but would not want my employer to be aware of my research on a constructive dismissal issue.
I hope im just being paranoid

Is your laptop security coded?

Have you contacted your provider of the network to see what security you have?

Best not to use the laptop at work if you are researching stuff which could be viewed as being contentious.
