Trying to get my bank statments from Abbey since January. They have now sent me the same letter and paperwork 3 times just a summary of charges which is a list up to December 2006 and statements from Jan 2007. I have now requested the statements 3 times and sent a Final Demand . The reply was from their customer services department saying they are sorry I am not happy with the service and saying my complaint will be dealt with in 4 weeks. I responding stating unacceptable . Now 4 weeks later nothing what next. Are a summary of charges on a spreadsheet ok you cannot see when the charges take you into an overlimit situation or anything. HELP!
You can use the spreadsheets to collate all the charges - it doesn't matter what the balance of the account was at the time, as you are asking for all the charges back regardless.
If there are no dates specified for the earlier ones, then the simplest way is to look at the later statements to see which date charges are applied, and use that date.
I will be back later - going to have a search for wording to use on your letter regarding their non-compliance, but at least you can get started on working out how much they owe you!
