Hi Guys I've had my LG cookie on pay as you go since 1st Dec 08
and recently i have sent it off to be repaired as the charge/headphone port had stopped working
and within 30 seconds the sale women utter two words
Water damage
i am going to collect the phone today
anyone got any ammo i can use to get a refund or anything.
Because this isn't the first time I've lost a newish phone to water damage
I'm and already sick of it.

There must be an 'electrical' think tank tasked to come up with 'get out' ideas as this 'water damage' seems to be the biggest excuse they all seem to make be it computers, ipods or whatever.

You can take it to a small shop, the type that builds computers to order, (or any electrical shop you trust), and ask them to give you a report. You will probably have to pay for the report, but if you are sure there is no water damage, this will give you a clear report, then you can claim back the fee along with your new/repaired cookie.
