This is my first post, hopfully I have posted this in the correct forum.
I signed up for a 30 day free trail of Mobile Locate, A location service for mobile phones,
MobileLocate: 30 Day Free Trial - mobile phone tracking, track mobile, mobile tracking, trace mobile, tracking, minor planet, trace mobile, phone trace, mobile phone trace, mobile phone location, locate mobile, mobile phone locator, track mobile phon, not that I required the service to be honest, it was out of curiousity to see what the service was like.
After two weeks I cancelled the service via the medod that was advised when I signed up for the service, cancel within 30 days and I wont be held for any charges.
How did you cancel, can you prove you did.
So I cancelled it and didn't think anything else. I woke up one Saturday morning to find A nice per amount of £180 had been taken from my bank, I was worried as I could not see who the company was, I phoned my bank in which they said that I would have to phone on Monday to let the money clear so they could see who the company was, they advised me to cancel my card as well Whcih I did (SOLO) card.
I phoned back up found out who the company was an phoned mobile locate, i spoke to a guy called Mano,
They have an on line chat service, it was Mano who responded strange I wonder if Mano is the name they all use.
he said that they cannot repay the full amount as the subscription is charged annually I explained that I had cancelled my subscritpion before the 30 day period he said "can you send me a copy of the email confirming this" I never receieved an email,
can you locate the e-mail, if it was not "bounced back" returned then they did receive it.
I explained this, he said the only thing that he could do was give me a refund but there was a cancelation fee of £65 + VAT, I argued the toss when them but this just wasnt working, in the end for an easy life I thought ok ill just accept the refund.
Mano the guy I spoke to said he will action a refund I said no problem he said It would be in your account within 3 working days. I phoned back after 3 working days to say no money in my account, he explained that it had been returned unpaid (my fault I had cancelled my card)
He said they could do a direct transfer to my bank account I said that would be fine, he expleined there would be a £5
admin
charge i Said no problem.
Well its now 15th of may and I have still no money.
This is the series of events:
18th April - Money taken from my account
21st April - they told me money will be refunded to my account - minus cancellation charge
24th April - I phoned to check and see why the money was not back to find that because I cancelled my card it had been returned unpaid (my fault) was offered direct money transfer into my account. charge of £5 to do this and it would be in within 7 days.
28th April Called to see why it was not in was told we have had technical difficulties and the money would be in 2 days from today we have made the refund immediatly via direct money transfer.
30th April phoned again told that the money should be in your account today.
31st april checked my account no money thought lets give them a few days ill stop pestering them
5th May, Phoned them and said they had another problem that the money would be transferred to my account in two days, two days past still no money.
8th may phoned told that the money has been transferred and will be with me ASAP.
12th May - phoned up and was told that the money will be 100% in my account by friday 15, that the accounts department has actioned it
15th May - sitting here this morning talking to them on their live chat they are saying the money will clear today and im looking at my account this hasn't happened. all im getting from the company is it will be with you ASAP.
Any advise please would be much appreciated.
