Suspension and Reference problems
Hi, this is a bit of a complicated problem and I need some advice
I am currently a second year student planning on going on placement. I have been provisionally offered the placement reliant on my CRB, occupational health and references coming through ok. So far every thing is good, except for my references. I was required back in January to give two references, one from my academic intitustion and the other from a job. So I gave one from my academic tutor and the other from my part time job I've had at an international hotel for 6 years.
Unfortunatly, they've only asked for these refs in the last month. And last Tuesday I was suspended in light of an investigation at my part time job. I have done nothing wrong and I feel that the investigation will confirm that and I'll still have a job. The only problem is that my placement is asking for my refs now. Another tutor at the uni has said that he will provide me with a reference, but will that look more dodgy? Am I at risk at losing the postition I have been provisionally offered?
