    Angry Barclaycard Harassment

    Hi everyone

Barclaycard are seriously getting on my nerves with their constant barrage of calls to my place of work and home My Boss at work is getting really fed up with them calling too, and has told me to sort it out.Every time the phone rings at work I am anxious in case it's them calling
I sent them the Harassment by Telephone letter which they received on Tuesday, but still the calls continue.
I am seriously considering court action against these idiots. How would I go about this, and has anyone on here successfully taken them to court over harassment ?

    Thanks
    Lee

    Hi Lee,

Are you keeping a strict log of all calls including time and date.

    Read here too - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...reviews-write/

You could write and complain specifically pointing out their breach of the OFT debt collectionicon Guidelines under section 2.6.(a) and 2.6(j).

Also, if the account is in disputeicon re a CCA or a CPR request, they will be in breach of sections 2.6(h); 2.8(i) and 2.8(k).

Write to them pointing out that the phone callsicon should stop immediately as the calls are now being recorded and their actions will be reported to the fosicon and TS for formal investigation.

What stage are you at with the a/c being in dispute.

Are you using the CPR Strategy yet.

    Hi Slick

    Thanks for the reply.

I have kept a log of some calls although I haven't been keeping up with it as my answer machine gets a lot of them :-|
I have had a word with my Boss and explained that I have written to Barclayshark asking them to stop calling etc and he understands

I was looking at an Anti-Harassment injunction.Would this be the sort of thing I could get against an Organisation or am I barking up the wrong tree ?

As far as the account goes, I am at the same stage as the majority of people, in that Barclaycard have just sent me the standard terms and conditionsicon.I suppose I should really go down the CPR route.

    thanks for the advice

    Lee

    Hi Lee,

Start by sending a clear warning to whatever DCAicon is harassing you at work.

Say they are in breach of the OFT DCG's, specifically, Sections blah; blah; as above. If they continue to harass you, and particularly to embarass you by calling your place of employment, you will take court action against them with further warning.

Formal Complaints will also be lodged with the fosicon and Trading Standards.

You do need to progress this and follow the CPR route - BC will say they've complied with the CCA request and are entitled to pursue the debt.
