I've seen a lot of questions on the site asking about cheque clearance cycle, cheque guarantee system, and debit card payments. Please see the link above and have a good read through all the menus which should answer some questions you may have about cheques/debit cards/ credit cards/ future developments. It doesn't tell you how to get charges back and it doesn't help you with SAR or moneyclaim forms but "Knowledge is Power" so it may be an interesting aside.
