Exclamation HSBC made offer now can I put 2 claims together?

Morning all, further to previous post. HSBCicon have made me an offer of £1700 against £1981 they owe me. I am going to settle for this as part payment, but threaten to take them to court for the rest. On the same day I am sending a letter asking for a refund of £584 on an account which was closed last year.
so these claims are running slightly behind one another. I was thinking of sending a letter accepting part payment on one but demand the rest, and also a letter asking for the £584 on the other. Both letters together, as they are going to the same person anyway. As well as these 2 letters a letter stating if they cough up all is owed to me, as a "gesture of good willicon" I will not make a claim and therefore they will save on the interesticon and the matter will therefore be closed. Like killing 2 birds with one stone so to speak. Would this be a good idea, is there reason why this would cause me any problems. At the end of the day if they do not cough up the total amount, I am going to put a claim in anyway, which at this point over £350 is going to be added on in interest, plus costs. If I put it to them that way maybe they will just surrender ??
    What do you think??
    Advise quickly please.

    William,

Banks hate "gestures of goodwill" - in fact I do not think they know what it means lol!

If you are entitled to the lot back, why settle for less - IT BELONGS TO YOU!!

    Good luck whatever you choose

As long as you keep the total to below £5000 you should be ok. Over this amount and you can not use the small claims court
