Hutchison 3 are promoting the ability to make calls on the Three network to Skype users, using your Skype account, with no requirement for a top-up for PAYG users, meaning when you run out of credit, you can make calls via Skype and carry on as before. The difference is that previously, you had to top up with £10 per month or this facility was blocked. Now, providing you are within coverage range of a 3UK cellsite, you can make the call for free, whether you topped up your PAYG SIM recently or not.

The 'gotcha' the deal ONLY world from 'phones'. If you have a PAYG USB dongle, the cost of the connection will be paid for by you, and if you have no inclusive data left on PAYG, the data charge quadrouples - it is most certainly NOT free.

Watch out for this if you were expectinf PAYG phone/broadband to be treated equally. They're not!
