Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
i was wondering if someone could just give me some advice,i sent aletter to vt my car to british credit trust over a month ago( i have paid over 75% of hp),they denied recieving it so i sent another two by recorded delivery, they are still saying the have not recieved it,(when i wrote the first letter i also phoned them to tell them i had done so) anyhow when i first started the process there was a month left on the mot and obviously now there is none on it,so my insurance is also void, they are still adding on charges and arrears etc,so i was wondering because i have proof i have sent them the vt's and they are obviously just playin silly bu@@ers and i am getting sick of keep ringing them up and constantly being fobbed off, worrying me sick, would i be able to send the log book back to dvla in there name as they are the rightfull owners as i now have no m.o.t no insurance and no where off road to keep the vehicle, and dont see why i should recieve any legal fines etc for it not being properly roadworthy?any advice please?
what would happen if i just stopped paying them and kept the vehicle?when they got a court order to reposses it would i have to go to court,or would they just do it and come and take it,at the moment i am over £700 in arrears i have asked them to reduce payments/extend loan period etc,and it needs repairs that will cost in the region of £1000,so would i be wasting my time getting it repaired and mot done just for them to take it within a few weeks then be stuck with the arrears bill?
