    Default Motorcycle Parking Tickets...!&^%!

    Hi Folks

I recently received two pcnicon's for parking, both in London, one in Camden the other in Southwark, i'm a new Motorcycle rider so am still coming to grips with parking in London (Nightmare if you ask me...)..

Anyway the Pay and display in camden i believe i can contest because it contains two errors,
a.) The colour of my bike which in the ticket is described as Black
however is in fact Silver and Black,
b.) Tax Disk Number, which was out of date (just got the bike was in transition), ive since renewed my tax disk ovbiously new number.

    any thoughts on this one??

The second ticket more importantly was in southwark i was gone for only 20 mins and they want to charge me £120 - £60 if payed within 14 days
thats a bit steep considering i am riding a bike (not to mention congestion advantages... evironment etc)

i Bought a pay and display ticket however when i got back to the bike it was gone and replaced by a ticket....!?!

do i have any legs to stand on ??

anybody experienced a successful apeal ??

    please help

    thanks!!

A mistake on the colour will not get you off by itself. The tax disc number probably won't help you as it's only to add backing to the ticket.

Your best bet is to check the Traffic Regulation Order for the area you were parked. It's a publicly available document (from the council offices) and should contain a list of all restrictions. If they are not present or incorrect it can offer a way out.

The other you should do is post up copies of the tickets (either scanned or photo), with your details obscured, so that they can be checked for any errors.

This petition might stand a chance if it were to be put on the "Number ten" website.

I am not likely to download a form, sign it, then travel the 160 miles or so, [all the way to "London", wherever that is], in order to hand it in!
