-MET Parking Service PCN- Debt collectors help???!!
hi guys,
my name is Shaun and im from London i know this topic has been covered before so apologies if you guys are repeating yourselves. I really need your advice and help
A couple of months back i got a pcn from the MET Parking Services who have subsequently sent me 3 letter demanding i pay what is now an amount of £150 after supposedly exceeding the parking restriction for
Billingsgate Mcdonalds car park
After reading numerous informative topics and threads about members similar situations i have taken your advice and ignoreD the documentation that have been sent..but just this morning i was amazed to see a letter from "Roxburghe debt collectors" demanding i pay the £150 outstanding. Now this has never happened to me before and i not versed with the legal proceeding and what to say or do.
I am really worried that given that i have not paid the amount that they will send round debt collector to my parents house (as this is the cars registered address). My parents are elderly and they do not need the headache and stress associated with debt collectors
So what do i do? say? write back with? what will happen next?? shall i just pay the amount and be done with it??

Hi there. Dont worry. MET use Roxburghe as the next part of thier [problem]. What you have is a standard template letter that everyone gets at this stage.
As for baliffs-they only enter the fray if you go to court, you lose then dont/cannot pay what has been ordered. Continue to ignore!! Hope that puts your mind at ease a little

so i should ignore the debt collectors letter too?? will failure to respond to their correspondents provoke them to come round? has any other members experience visits from debt collectors?? sorry guys for the amount of question but my mum and dad wouldnt know what to do or say if the turn up unannounced.. and in actual fact neither would i
Re: -MET Parking Service PCN- Debt collectors help???!!
Point number one, keep away from Crap Donalds.
The so called debt collection Agency, is a pretend one, as stated Tom and Jerry have no powers to say or do anything, this is all part of the joke.
If you look at the PPC, the joke is that they pretend, they fine, you issue pcn's pretend that they are police/council tickets.
All you have to do is play Tom and Jerry at their own game.
That is ignore the comics that come through the post, and you pretend that you never heard of them, an get on wi thi life.
Re: -MET Parking Service PCN- Debt collectors help???!!
Hi my partner overstayed by 6 minutes in McDonalds Car Park in Gatwick, have had several letters from MET PARKING SERVICES, very official looking letters, on the advise of watchdog, I have ignored these letters, I have had 3x letter from MET, and now a further 2 from DEBT RECOVERY PLUS LTD, Stating NOTICE OF INTENDED LITIGATION, if I keep ignoring these letters, will they eventually give up, as my partner is worried,
Re: -MET Parking Service PCN- Debt collectors help???!!
Just keep on ignoring them and the debt collector letters. You can see pics of the letters to ignore, in the first post of the first thread on this board on MSE (the Debt Recovery Plus standard letters are on there so you can see exactly what stage you are at in the chain):
Please tell your partner to think no more of it apart from to spread the word that only proper parking tickets from the Council or the Police are ever to be taken seriously.

Have also been receiver of paper aeroplane material from MET Gatwick and all has been ignored
It will get higher once you reach the final stages (solicitors letters) but this does not make them any less ignorable
No sign of a court appearance even when I asked their 'soliciltors' to proceed directly to this stage when they phoned around 6 months ago
The 'solicitors' calls (not everyone gets them) are a last ditch attempt to extract money from you
If in doubt read through the many PPC threads
Hold fast you are halfway through their standard process and once it has dawned on them they are chasing their own tails they will go away and look for someone than can bully into paying an unjustifiable amount.
Here is where you can do something in retaliation for the threatening junk mail - tell eveyone about the [problem] and how it works they do not become victims either
