    Default Premier Parking Solutions Exeter

    Hi all
I am new to this site and am finding it very useful, I received a "ticket" from PPS last week, I just want to clear up a few points.
    1. My car is a company car so should i write to pps first (I have asked my company to forward any letters from them)
2.The vehicle model is incorrect (Laguna instead of Megane) does this invalidate the ticket?
    3. Is it true they can only claim for damages or lost revenue under contract law (ie the 15 mins over i was parked)

I have also read on these forums that PPS were WJ Parking as they have the same registered office and No in Exeter.

Your advise will be much appreciated

Are you sure your company are listed as the RK at the DVLA and not hiring the car on lease? If you are, I presume you are on a good relationship with your company and can trust them not to pay the invoices but just give them to you. If all this is true, have no contact with the PPC at all.

Any error on a PPC invoice makes no difference. They will either just change it or continue to harrass you anyway

Yes. They can only claim for damages, and in fact their right to claim is dubious as the "damages" are payable to the landowner, and very few PPCs are the actual landowner.

It depends how your conversation goes with the lease company really. Some of them mistake this invoice for a legal pcnicon and pay it then charge it through (often with a hefty "adminicon" charge!)

Make sure they understand (in writing if necessary) that this is not a legal PCN but a private invoice which you dispute. Tell them they can either

    1) ignore everything from the PPC, - they may not like that
    2) forward the mail to you, - without any charges
    3) inform the PPC of yor address

some lease companies love to pay PPC invoices and then charge you 30-50 pounds for the 'honour'. Other lease companies are much better. Sort the lease company as the first priority. The PPC you can and should ignore.

Agree with Lamma on this one - make sure whoever the RK is, knows not to pay and to either bin or pass correspondence to you.

BTW lease companies have a job justifying £30-50 these days as anything less than a penalty charge. My company's lease firm dropped their "adminicon" charge from £35 to £12 after being challenged on this. Same principal as bank charges. If your lease company is doing this it might be worth taking them to task.

Bearing in mind that T&Cs refer to penalty charges, not unenforceable invoices.
